AMSH cares for have more than 300 primates over the five-state area. Bennet X-ray Machine - Helps qualify pets for OFA certification. This is one of the most capable and extensive units for medical office use today. It aids in the visualization of minute internal organ and bone problems.
Blood Cell Analysis - Counts red and white blood cells for rapid results in emergency situations or general preoperative screening for levels of anemia or dehydration.
SMA Machine - Blood test that detects such things as liver, kidney, pancreatic, and other organ health malfunctions. This helps to prevent expensive surgical procedures and costly loss of time.
Urinalysis - Peformed microscopically and U P:C ratio slides. This enables us to give an early diagnosis of kidney failure for quicker life-saving treatment. In addition, AMSH specializes in dermatology and dentistry. Root canals and complete ultrasonic dental scaling and polishing are available - very similar to the procedure done by your dentist. We also provide for the complete care of all breeds of dogs and cats, exotic animals, other small pets, and most varieties of birds. Working in conjunction with two university laboratories we are able to provide biopsies for diagnosis of those common and uncommon lumps and bumps. We even perform allergy testing for food or environmental allergies. This enables us to take care of your pet from its first puppy or kitten check-up to any extensive surgery required, including blood transfusions.
